The black Burgergate truck with the crew at the hatch

Burgergate started with one idea: do one thing, and do it better than anyone around. Gaëtan Gemis-Nunez, founder and chef, built a small black truck around a hot griddle and took it to the events of Brussels, from company courtyards to festival fields.

Three seasons as the resident kitchen at Le Flore in Brussels taught the crew how to keep a queue happy and a burger consistent, hundreds of times a night.

Gaëtan runs the griddle and the kitchen. Pablo Vera runs the events side: dates, logistics, and making sure the truck is where it should be when it should be. On the day you will meet a small crew that has done this many times before.

Between events, Burgergate is the resident kitchen at La Guinguette du Flore in Brussels. It is where the recipes are tested, the crew is trained and the smash gets smashed when there is no truck to drive.
